New Erasmus+ collaboration with Atatürk University

The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy has opened a new collaboration Atatürk University in Erzurum, Turkey. Dr. Michał Żejmo has realized a first STA mobility to Erzurum and during his vist he had the opportunity to collaborate and establish contacts with scientists both from Atatürk University and from the research institute: Atatürk University Astrophysics Research and Application Center (ATASAM). It is worth mentioning that ATASAM is an institute where a project to build a 4-meter diameter infrared telescope is being carried out. During his stay dr. Żejmo had the extraordinary opportunity to visit this telescope before its first official launch. As part of the visit, he gave a series of lectures and workshops on the related to the analysis of data from optical telescopes using the Python programming language.
